College Webcams

The College of Charleston has installed several Web cameras around the campus to provide live, streaming video 24/7. Click on the thumbnail images OR "View Live Image" to view the cams.

At one time, Physicians Promenade — the brick walkway that runs north from George Street — was a full-fledged street. These days, it’s the site of numerous campus receptions, exhibitions and events, as well as a scenic route through campus.

Live view of College Way and Green Way from the northwestern corner of Randolph Hall. College Way is the brick walkway located east of and parallel to Coming Street and runs from George Street to Calhoun Street. Green Way is the brick walkway running between St. Philip and Coming Streets. Both were originally full-service streets.

The Cistern Yard (with the raised, oval Cistern in the foreground) is the literal and figurative center of campus. Each spring, this is where the College’s commencement ceremonies take place. And, in late May and early June each year, this space serves as a performance venue for jazz artists during the Spoleto Festival USA.

Live view of Rivers Green behind the Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library. Popular with students for lounging, studying and playing Frisbee, this is the second largest green space on campus (second only to The Cistern Yard). The larger section to the right of the fountain is also the current practice site for the College’s Quidditch Team (12th at the 2010 Quidditch World Cup).

Seen from atop the Bell Building, this is a live view of the College’s new Marion and Wayland H. Cato Jr. Center for the Arts (opened in 2010) at the corner of Calhoun and St. Philip Streets. The center houses the departments of music, theatre and studio art, as well as the Halsey Institute for Contemporary Art.
