At one time, Physicians Promenade — the brick walkway that runs north from George Street — was a full-fledged street. These days, it’s the site of numerous campus receptions, exhibitions and events, as well as a scenic route through campus.
Live view of College Way and Green Way from the northwestern corner of Randolph Hall. College Way is the brick walkway located east of and parallel to Coming Street and runs from George Street to Calhoun Street. Green Way is the brick walkway running between St. Philip and Coming Streets.
The Cistern Yard is the literal and figurative center of campus. Each spring, this is where the College’s commencement ceremonies take place. And, in late May and early June each year, this space serves as a performance venue for jazz artists during the Spoleto Festival USA.
Live view of Rivers Green behind the Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library. Popular with students for lounging, studying and playing Frisbee, this is the second largest green space on campus (second only to The Cistern Yard).
